Church Partnerships & Administrator FAQs
Elder IT partners with Christian churches and faith communities to provide specialized, senior-focused tech support as an active outreach ministry.
Does this service cover the church’s technology?
Section titled “Does this service cover the church’s technology?”No. Elder IT is designed exclusively as an outreach ministry and support service for your congregation’s seniors, members, and families.
We do not manage, maintain, or troubleshoot internal church office computers, administrative servers, staff networks, or sanctuary audiovisual systems. Our focus remains entirely on personal technology concierge care for your church members.
How do block hours work, and do unused hours roll over from month to month?
Section titled “How do block hours work, and do unused hours roll over from month to month?”Subscription packages include dedicated blocks of 10 hours per month (e.g., 10, 20, 30, or 40+ hours) that can be utilized across your congregation:
- Each calendar month begins with a fresh allocation of your purchased block hours.
- Unused monthly hours expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over to future months.
This policy ensures predictable technician availability and scheduling priority for your church while encouraging consistent monthly ministry engagement with your seniors.
What happens if our congregation exceeds our monthly block of hours?
Section titled “What happens if our congregation exceeds our monthly block of hours?”Support continues seamlessly without interruption.
If your congregation exhausts its monthly block hours before the end of the month, members can still schedule and receive help. Additional sessions are simply billed at your plan’s deeply discounted subscription overtime rates:
- During initial plan setup, your church designates whether overtime costs are covered by the church’s benevolence budget or paid directly by the member receiving assistance.
- You can configure this easily using the Subscription Plan Builder.
What happens if a member needs a type of support that isn’t included in the subscription?
Section titled “What happens if a member needs a type of support that isn’t included in the subscription?”If a member requires a support format outside your plan tier (such as requesting an in-home visit under a Bronze plan that covers Remote support, or a Silver plan that covers Remote and At-Church visits), the session can readily be upgraded:
- Upgrades are charged at your plan’s modest hourly visit upgrade fee ($15/hr for Silver plans, $30/hr for Bronze plans).
- Gold plans include all visit types automatically, eliminating upgrade fees entirely.
- Just like overtime, your church determines whether visit upgrade fees are church-covered or member-paid.
