How to Use the Service Area Checker
Elder IT provides personalized, in-person technical support for seniors and churches across the greater Miami Valley region. The Service Area Checker allows prospective clients and church members to quickly determine whether an address is within our in-person travel boundary.
How Service Eligibility Works
Section titled “How Service Eligibility Works”Service eligibility is determined by a straight-line (“as the crow flies”) radius originating from Elder IT’s office in Miamisburg, Ohio:
- Inside the Circle: If your address falls within our service radius, our technicians can visit your home or church in person.
- Outside the Circle: If your address is beyond our driving radius, we cannot make on-site visits, but we can still assist you nationwide with phone, video, and remote screen-sharing support.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Section titled “Step-by-Step Instructions”1. Enter Your Street Address
Section titled “1. Enter Your Street Address”Begin typing your street address into the input field:
- As you type, the tool displays matching addresses powered by OpenStreetMap and verified by the U.S. Census Geocoder.
- Select your address from the suggestions list or type the full address and press Check service area.
[!NOTE] State Filtering: Suggestions are prioritized within Ohio. If checking an address near state borders, include the city, state, and ZIP code.

- The Location Pin: Displays exactly where your address sits in relation to the boundary.
- Map Controls: Includes dedicated Zoom In (+), Zoom Out (−), and Reset Map View buttons.
[!TIP] Accessibility First: The map is completely accessible to keyboard and screen reader users. The map container does not trap focus, and a plain-text description under the map summarizes your coordinates and distance.
