How to Use Church Subscription Lookup

The Church Subscription Lookup widget enables church members to verify whether their church currently partners with Elder IT, see how many monthly tech support hours are currently available, and calculate their out-of-pocket costs for help.

To protect church privacy and prevent web scrapers or unauthorized parties from browsing directory lists, the tool never displays a drop-down list of churches and cannot be searched by church name alone.

Instead, members look up their church by entering its physical street address.

[!NOTE] Forgiving Address Matching: You do not have to worry about exact punctuation or capitalization. Common road abbreviations are matched automatically:

  • Road matches Rd
  • Avenue matches Ave
  • Boulevard matches Blvd
  • North / South match N / S
  • Saint matches St. (e.g., St. Marys matches Saint Marys)

Fill in the two required address fields:

  1. Street address: The street number and street name (e.g., 123 Main St or 500 S Heincke Rd).
  2. City or ZIP code: Enter either the church’s city (e.g., Miamisburg) or its 5-digit ZIP code (e.g., 45342).
  3. (Optional) State: Defaults to Ohio (OH), but can be entered if looking up an address in another state.

Click the large Check coverage button.

Behind the scenes, a lightweight, invisible security verification (ALTCHA proof-of-work) runs automatically in a fraction of a second. There are no blurry puzzle pictures or captchas to solve.

Once a matching active church is found, the widget displays four clear sections:

Displays the official name of the church, an Active status badge, the church’s package tier pill (Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Cobalt), and the plan expiration date (e.g., “Plan runs through December 31, 2026”).

A live summary showing how many hours remain in the church’s monthly allotment:

“15.5 of 20 hours left this month (4.5 used)”

If your church is on a Cobalt plan (which provides on-demand discounted rates rather than pre-paid hour blocks), this section displays your month-to-date overtime hours.

3. “What You Can Expect to Pay” (Interactive Calculator)

Section titled “3. “What You Can Expect to Pay” (Interactive Calculator)”

Below the hours summary, three large buttons represent the three ways Elder IT provides support:

  • Remote: Phone, screen-sharing, or video assistance.
  • At church: Meeting with an Elder IT specialist during scheduled church tech clinics.
  • In home: One-on-one personalized visit at your home.

Clicking any button immediately reveals:

  • Whether that visit type is included in your church’s monthly hours.
  • What you pay while monthly hours are available.
  • What happens if the church’s monthly hours run out during your session.

Click the collapsible See all rates and who pays panel to view a full breakdown table:

  • Included Support Types: Which visit formats are covered by church hours.
  • Hourly Overtime Rate: The discounted rate billed if monthly hours are exhausted.
  • Visit Upgrade Fee: If your church’s plan includes Remote or At-Church support, but you request an In-Home visit, this shows the visit fee and whether the church or the member pays it.
  • Travel Base Fee: Notice regarding round-trip travel fees for in-person appointments.

  • Double check that you typed the physical street address of the church building rather than a P.O. Box.
  • Try searching by 5-digit ZIP code if the city name has multiple spellings.

“Multiple churches found at this address”

Section titled ““Multiple churches found at this address””

If multiple congregations share the same building or campus, the system will not disclose them publicly. Please contact your church office or reach out to Elder IT directly at support@elder-it.com for assistance.

“Plan has expired” or “No active plan”

Section titled ““Plan has expired” or “No active plan””

If your church’s partnership term has concluded or has not yet started, the tool will display the church name with an inactive notice. Please speak with your church administrator or ministry committee to inquire about renewing coverage.
